MT. LONGONOT TREK –DAY TRIP

Leave Nairobi early in the morning and drive to the floor of the Great Rift Valley where one of the Dormant Volcanic Mountains in the region lies. It magnificently retains the conical shape of almost all volcanoes with a splendid crater. The ascent takes about 1hr-to-1hr 30min, with a further 2hrs trekking around the crater rim. Lunch is served at the crater rim . The descent takes another 45 minutes.

Apart from the beautiful and scenic views of the mountain and its environs, wildlife like Giraffes, Impalas, Zebras, Gazelles and birdlife abound. We then return to Nairobi with the good memories acquired.
